Weekly Wrap-UP

These are the six books that I read for the week of August 4th through August 10th. This brings my yearly total to 212 books. These books totaled 1,941 pages.

Shadow of the Fox By: Julie Kagawa

I gave this book 3 stars. One thousand years ago the great Kami dragon was summoned to a great terrible wish and threw the Empire into darkness. Now whoever holds the scroll can be granted a wish. Yumeko is half human and half Kilsune. She has been raised by the monks. Samurai Kage is under orders to retrieve the scroll but Yumeko has hidden it.

Away By: Megan E. Freeman

I gave this book 4 stars. What happens when the government gets to involved. This is about how a whole area around a river is evacuated and put into a camp. The lies they are told and how a group of kids uncover their plans and how they let everyone know.

The Canyon’s Edge By: Dusti Bowling

I gave this book 4 stars. Nora and her take a climbing trip for her birthday. It has been one year since the death of her mom and her dad’s injury. They are both still struggling with the event that caused both the death and the injury. During the trip a big flash flood happened and the two became separated. Are they alive and can they survive.

The Unmaking of June Farrow By: Adrienne Young

I gave this book 3 stars. The Farrow women are known for their flower farm. They have a secret. June’s mother disappeared shortly after she was born and she was raised by her grandma. After her grandma passes several years later June discovers cryptic clues regarding her mom’s disappearance.
