I would like to thank both NetGalley and Titan Books for allowing me to read and review this book. Sorry it took me so long to get it done. All opinions are my own.
Book Review:
This was not what I expected when I started reading it. I did enjoy myself and gave the book 4 stars. I liked how the author gave Peter Pan a different twist and it was mostly about Hook and how Peter trapped him in Neverland. This made Peter the bad guy instead of hook. I didn’t realize this was the second book in a duology and was a little confused at first but there was enough content in the book of flashbacks that let me know what had previously happened. Jane Wendy’s daughter goes back to Neverland with Hook to help save her Uncle Michael from the monster that has taken over his body. I love how Jane has never gotten over what happened to her the first time. She has also got to learn to forgive her mom for the secrets she kept from her. Hook has a lot to learn, and he only really cared about one person and that person dead. Wendy thought she was doing the right thing for Jane but ended up messing things up as Jane lost another friend because of the results of Wendy’s doing and secrets.
Sorry, I am having a little bite of a hard reviewing this book because it is the second book and I didn’t read the first one. I would highly suggest you read book one and then continue reading book two so you can get a better understanding.
I did like what I read and the love of friends and how they can help a person even a bad one. I also loved how Jane’s father didn’t have any issues with all the going ones and just went the flow of things. He supported by Wendy and Jane in all they did. He even took in Uncle Michael and his issues.
