Book Review:

I really enjoyed this book and gave it 4 stars. Shell is having her grand opening for the pet shop on Saturday, but before that happens, she has a couple of mishaps that could ruin the day. The first one is that her singer backs out the day before and she now has to decide if she should hire another singer or just use music from a player. While she is thinking about this a stranger comes into the shop looking for her aunt. She has to tell him that she has passed, and he is shocked. Come to find out that the stranger can sing and she tempts him with the job. He isn’t sure and leaves. The other issue Shell has is that her mother has decided to come and support her even though she thinks Shell is making a bad decision. Shell and her mother really don’t get along.

The event goes off well until the stranger is found dead. Come to find out he isn’t well liked in the town. Five years ago, he left the town under not good conditions and people aren’t easy to forgive. Who killed him and why? Rita a friend of Shell is the number one person because several people saw her follow the stranger to the area where he was found. Did she do it or is she being framed? You will have to read the book to find out.

What I like about the book is that there is a strong friendship between the people in the town. Even though Shell and her mother don’t get along you can tell that they care about each other.
