I would like to thank both NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for allowing me to read and review this book. Sorry it took me so long. All opinions are my own.

Book Review:

I enjoyed this book and gave it 4 stars. I don’t know why it took me so long to read it. This book is about Rachel. She is a single mom who is struggling. Her daughter’s dad is in the picture but doesn’t do a lot to help her out nor does she require him to do so. Rachel gets fired one night from her job because one of the hotel clients comes onto her and she pushes him away and curses at him. He is rich and important, so they take his word over hers. One of her friends knows someone looking for help and gives her the phone number but the hitch is she would have to move to Ohio. After a while she does call and is offered the job so now, she is off to Ohio.

Once she gets there, she doesn’t realize that her job is more than she thought. She takes on the challenge and thrives. The owner of the hotel resort is a man who is recently divorced and has lost his young daughter to a heart issue. He is still grieving. After a while they figure out what needs to be done to get the resort up and running. In the meantime, they are getting to know each other fairly well and discovering they like each other more than they thought.

What I like about this book is of course the family and the friendships in this book. I like how they actually communicate with each other. There are some issues that come up and they are able to work them out. I also like how it is fade to black in the relationship part of the book.

I would recommend this book. It is also the second book in a trilogy, but you really don’t need to read the first book.
