This wrap-up is for the week of August 1st through August 4th. So, it isn’t really a full week, I actually read quite a lot for these days, and I want to stay on track for next week. I am having some issues with the photos I took from my camera, so I wasn’t able to show you a stack of the books. I read 10 books which brings my yearly total to 244 books. These books total 2,064 pages.

My Imaginary Mary By: Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton and Jodi Meadows
I gave this book 3 stars. This is about Mary Shelley. She lives above her father’s bookstore. Her mother has passed, and her father has remarried. Mary is of faeblood in this story. She got this blood from her deceased mother. Mary befriends Ada whose father is Lord Byron. The two have some interesting adventures and find themselves in trouble sometime.

The Velveteen Rabbit By: Margery Williams
I gave this book 4 stars. A reread for me. A favorite toy that goes everywhere and even stays with the boy when he is sick. After the boy gets better everything is thrown out including the rabbit. There things change for him.

The Pale Horse By: Agatha Christie
I gave this book 3 stars. An elderly Priest is murder and roughly searched that his cassock is torn. Just before his death he heard the confusion from a dying woman. What did she say to him that may have caused his death.

The Mortal Immortal By: Mary Shelley
I gave this book 3 stars. Short supernatural story. This was about eternal youth, souls that exchange bodies and men being thawed out of ice. This was written after her big story Frankenstein.

Ralph Azham: Black are the Stars By: Lewis Trondheim
Graphic novel. I found this graphic novel in my downloads and read it. I don’t know if it was a book that I was supposed to review. I didn’t realize that I even owned it. I did have a difficult time reading it on my phone. I gave this book 3 stars. Ralph is the chosen one. He can tell how many kids a person will have. He can also see ghost around an evil person.

Hinds’ Feet on High Places By: Hannah Hurnard
I gave this book 3 stars. God’s children being led to new heights of love, joy and victory.

LT’S Theory of Pets By: Stephen King.
I gave this book 3 stars. This was a recording of Stephen King telling this story. It isn’t in print but audio only. A story about the bonds between husbands, wives and pets.

Orris and Timble: The Beginning By: Kate DiCamillo
I gave this book 4 stars. A rat (Orris) saves an owl (Timble) from a trap. Orris tells Timble stories every night and they become friends.

Death at Morning House By: Maureen Johnson

Patchwork Quilt Murder By: Leslie Meier
I gave this book 4 stars. Lucy is on the case again. There is a heatwave going through the town and this is making everyone miserable. Lucy loses her dog of many years from old age. A community center opens in the town so people can have a place to be creative and to gather. One day the director and an employee of the center vanish. Where did they go? Lucy is looking into this and will find them either dead or alive.
