hotel on the Corner of Better and Sweet by: Jamie Ford
I gave this book 3 stars. It is a dual timeline. This book is a historical fiction about the internment camps during the second world war.

When your Llama Needs a Haircut By: Susanna Leonard Hill
I gave this book 4 stars. It was read for Storytime. Llama needs a haircut but what kind should he get.

Llama Llama Red Pajama By: Anna Dewdney
I gave this book 4 stars. It is a favorite book, and it is told in verse. I also read this book for Storytime. Young llama is afraid his mama has disappeared when she doesn’t come right away.

The Spirit Bares its Teeth By: Andrew Joseph White
I gave this book 3 stars. It takes place in London 1883. The veil between the living and the dead has thinned. Silas is diagnosed with veil sickness after a failed attempt to escape an arranged marriage.

Love and Honor By: Randall Wallace
I ended up giving this book 3 stars. I had a hard time with figuring out what I wanted to rate it. Friends told me this book was about the American Revolutionary, but it wasn’t and that almost affected my rating. There was other reason for this just ok rating. This story was ok for a historical but boy the author needed to do a little research before using this subject. He used real people in history but put them in the wrong time period. I know this book is mostly fiction, but it really bothered me and took me out of the story.

The Poppy War By: R. F. Kuang
I gave this book 4 stars. I finally got around to reading it. I really had a great time reading this book. The struggles and triumphs were great. Rin aces the Keju, a wide test to find the most talented youth to study at the academics. She isn’t received well because of her background. She has a lot to prove.

Assistant to the Villain By: Hannah Nicole Maehrer
I gave this book 3 stars. Evie is the only one able to work to support her family, so she needs a job ASAP. The most infamous villain in the area offers her a job and she says yes. As she gets use to things (weird things) happen she discover there might be a spy in the office. Who is it and why are they there.

Flamer By: Mike Curato
I gave this graphic novel 4 stars. Aiden is at Scout camp. He is bullied a lot because he is mixed race and hasn’t really gone through puberty. This is about him coming to like himself and sticking up for himself.
