Weekly Wrap-Up

These are the things that I read for the week of December 11th-17th. I read 7 books which brings my yearly reading total to 350 books. These books totaled 1,615 pages.

Notes on an Execution By: Danya Kukafka

I gave this book 3 stars. The countdown of Ansel Packer’s execution. It is now his turn to face the fate he has given his victim’s. But he doesn’t want to die.

How to catch a Gingerbread Man By: Adam Wallace and Andy Elkerton

I gave this book 4 stars. I read this at a Storytime and the children loved it. A Librarian reads to a group of children. The gingerbread man leaves his book and joins other book characters while out and about.

the Gingerbread Man Loose at Christmas By: Laura Murray

I gave this book 4 stars. I also read this book at Storytime. The gingerbread man is mad from some school kids. He is able to go where they go. Today they are making special things for the neighborhood. the Gingerbread man has a special treat for someone special.

A Christmas Candy Killing By: Christina Romeril

I gave this book 4 stars. Twins own a mystery bookstore that also sells their famous poison-themed killer chocolates. A neighbor comes to them just before Christmas that a murderer has made residents in their town. This neighbor ends up dead a little later with some of their chocolate left beside her. Can the twins find the murderer or will they be charged.

The Christmas Swap By: Talia Samuels

I gave this book 3 stars. Margot goes with Ben to spend the holidays with his family. She is going as his girlfriend. Then she meets his sister.

12 Days of Book-Club-Mas

I gave this short story collection 4 stars. This book is from last year’s Once upon a book club advent calendar box. I am a little behind on these boxes. this book has 12 different stories. Some were good and the others were just ok. Only a few were about the holidays.

Kiss Her Once for Me By: Alison Cochrun

I gave this book 3 stars. Ellie met a woman at a bookshop a year ago Christmas. It didn’t last because the woman was married. This year Ellie makes an agreement with Andre that will help her financially. Unbeknownst to her he is the brother of the woman she met last year.
