Weekly Wrap-up

these are the books that I read for the week of July17th-July 23rd. I read a total of 9 books which brings my yearly reading total to 221 books. These books total 1,892 pages.

The Storm of Echoes By: Christelle Dabos

This is the fourth and final book in The Mirror Visitor Series. I gave this book 3 stars. The truth is finally revealed and was closer to home than they thought.

The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches By: Sangu Mandanna

I gave this book 4 stars. Mika knows she has to hide her magic in Britain. She also knows she can’t associate with other witches because of their magic, since being together makes their magic stronger. Hence this makes her lonely. One day she receives a message to go to a house to help three young witches.

The Guncle By: Steven Rowley

This is a reread for me and I actually liked it more the second time around than the first time. My star rating for this book is now 4 stars. An Uncle who takes care of his niece and nephew during the summer. Their mom has just passed away and their dad is in rehab.

Survival of the Fritters By: Ginger Bolton

I gave this book 4 stars. Daughter-in-law and father-in-law open a donut shop together. To help them get over the loss of her husband and his son. The husband was never ever to solve a murder case 5 years ago and now it reopens with the death of a relative of the murdered person.

Transportation in My Neighborhood By: Shelly Lyons

Cute book that I read for Storytime. It shows different pictures of transportation that can be found in most neighborhoods. 4stars.

Elite Secrets By: Hazel Smith

Tread of Angels By: Rebecca Roanhorse

I gave this book 3 stars. Small mining town. A card sharp defends her sister who is accused of murder in this town. Can she figure out who did it in this small close-knit town? Tere are many secrets that the people don’t to be found out.

The Celebrants By: Steven Rowley

I gave this book 3 stars. A group of college friends get together after 28 years. They are still figuring things out and a secret will change everything.

Assault and Beret By: Jenn NcKinlay

I gave this book 4 stars. The cousins decide to go on vacation to Paris. While there Viv is looking for the man whom she married so that she can get the marriage annulled. She would like to get her life back in order and this is the first step. While there both the man and some art end up missing. Can the cousins figure out what happened.
