Weekly Wrap-Up

This wrap-up is for the week of January 9th-January 15th. I read a total of 11 books which brings my yearly total to 22 books. these books totaled 2,381 pages.

One, Two, Buckle my Shoe By: Agatha Christie

I gave this book 4 stars. Poirot goes to the dentist. unknown is that later he will be back. The dentist is found dead. Who killed him and why?

Void and Valor By: Ryver Knight

I gave this book 4 stars. This is the final book in the series. I received it as an e-arc. I did get a little bored in the middle of this book before the action started. This was a good end to the series.

They Threw Us Away By: Daniel Kraus

I gave this book 4 stars. Thrown away teddies trying to find love. this their adventure. I love how they work together and yes; they argue but they work things out. Just need an open mind for this story.

Piranesi By: Susanna clarke

I gave this book 3 stars. This was okay. It was an easy read. I was a little confused for a while in places. This is about a world where we can enter into another world through a passageway that you can find if you know how.

The Pioneers By: David McCullough

This is a reread for me. I gave it 4 stars. This is about the Ohio River and how the pioneers came to the area.

Gustav Gloom and the Nightmare Vault By: Adam-Troy Castro

I gave this book 4 stars. This is the second book in the series. The girl across the street is always worried about Gustav who is unable to leave his house. This time they are battling a new shadow who wants to get into the vault. We don’t know why. The girl learns what happened to Gustav parents in this book.

They Stole Our Hearts By: Daniel Kraus

I gave this book 4 stars. This is the second book in the series. The teddies adventures continue after they are tossed out. They find their home, but it isn’t what it seems. Love the friendship in this book.

Before the Coffee gets Cold. By: Toshikazu Kawaguchi

I gave this book 3 stars. A cafe where you not only can get coffee, but you can travel back in time. The only thing is you have to be back before the coffee gets cold. A young woman does this one summer and learns somethings but isn’t allowed to fix it because of the rules.

The Boy who Met a Whale By: Nizrana Farook

I gave this book 4 stars. This is a cute found family story. A lone boy is washed up on an island and another boy finds him This boy and his sister go on an adventure to rescue the lone boy who ends up being kidnapped for a treasure map.

Something Is Killing the Children Volume one and Two By: James Tynion IV

I gave both of the graphic novels 4 stars. There are monsters in the woods. At the one young boy says. He watched his friends being killed and then eaten. No one believes him until one day a strange woman comes into town. She has creepy eyes. She wants him to tell her exactly what he saw and where it happened. She believes him. During this time more children ae found died or are missing. What is it and can she help?
