This wrap-up is for the week of November 21st-November 27th. I read a total of 6 books which brings my yearly reading total to 290 books. These books totaled 2,016 pages.

The Giver of Stars By: JoJo Moyes
I gave this book 5 stars. This was my favorite book of the week. This book made me angry, sad and happy. I laughed and cried.
This is about the pack horse librarians from 1935-1943 in Kentucky up in the mountain areas. The areas are poor and uneducated. These women became friends among themselves and the people they served. Even though this story is fiction it does have historical elements in it.

Debating Darcy By: Sayantani Dasgupta
I gave this book 3 stars. It is another retelling on a Jane Austin book. Not a fan of her books. I just need to stay away since I am not really enjoying them.

Blackout By: Simon Scarrow
This is a 3-star book for me. This book takes place at the beginning of WWII before the USA got involved. Every night is blackout time. No lights can be seen, and all towns are dark. Then one morning a young woman is found brutally murdered. An inspector is out to find out what happened to her but is up against odds because he refused to join the Nazi Party.

Booth By: Karen Joy Fowler
I gave this book 3 stars. I so wanted to enjoy this book more but unfortunately it fell flat for me. This book took me three months to read. Once I picked it up it was a fine read, but I just didn’t find myself reaching for it.
This is a historical fiction about the Booth family. Somethings are true and some are made up. I only knew about the two brothers Edwin and John and that they were actors.

Covered With Night By: Nicole Eustace
I gave this book 3 stars. This is a nonfiction book set in 1722. This is about the Native Americans and the whites in Pennsylvania. They are having a conference which turns deadly.

Hotel Valhalla: Guide to the Norse Worlds By: Rick Riordan
I gave this book 3 stars.
Additional book about the mythical beings and creatures mentioned in the Magnus chase series.
That is all the books I read for the last week. Have you read any of them? Did you like them, or did you have the same thoughts that I had? Let’s chat in the comments down below. Until next time, keep reading.
