
This wrap-up is for the week of October 24th-October 30th. I read a total of 8 books which brings my yearly reading total to 266 books. These books totaled 1,820 pages.

Zachary Ying and the Dragon Emperor By: Xiran Jay Zhao
I gave this book 4 stars. Zachary’s mom never told him about his heritage. He learns from an ancient emperor who tries to take over his body. Since he wasn’t able to, he is able to communicate through a gaming headset. Zachary’s mom is in a from a battle that took place in their apartment. In order to help her Zachary needs to go to China and battle figures from history and steal an artifact.

The Enemy You Gnocchi By: Catherine Bruns

I gave this book 4 stars. A 13-year-old girl states she witness a murder while she was at a party. No one believes her. Later that night she is found died in a game of apple bobbing.
Did she really see a murder and they killed her, or did she commit suicide?

The River By: Gary Paulsen
I gave this book 4 stars. Brian goes back into the woods to help with a possible survival class. Everything goes fine until one night when there is a thunderstorm.

The Wingfeather Saga: North! or be Eaten By: Andrew Peterson
I gave this book 4 stars. Janner needs to find his younger brother and sister before the fangs do.

Brian’s Winter By: Gary Paulsen
What if Brian wasn’t rescued before winter? This is the book about that possibility.

Brian’s Return By: Gary Paulsen
I gave this book 3 stars. Brian has returned back home. He is having a hard time adjusting to everything. He decides it would be easier if he just went back to the woods, or is it?

Brian’s Hunt By: Gary Paulsen
I gave this book 3 stars. I am glad this series is over. This is last book in the Brian’s Saga. He is camping and a stray injured dog finds him. What happen to the dog? Was it an animal, human or something else?
