Weekly Wrap-Up

This wrap-up is for the week of September 5th-September 11th. I read 4 books which brings my yearly reading total to 227 books. These books had a total of 1,643 pages.

Lair of Dreams By: Libba Bray

This is the second book in the Diviners series. I gave this book 4 stars. Evie has a show where she can read a person’s secret through an item. She doesn’t tell them the whole truth because that wouldn’t help with ratings. Alos there is Henry and Ling who are trying to keep their abilities a secret which is turning out to be harder than thought.

Zoey and Sassafras: The Pod and the Bog By: Asia Citro

I gave this book 4 stars. As we continue with Zoey and Sassafras series. this time they are trying to figure out a magical plant. What it is and how to take care of it. She seeks the help of her mom.

Survive the Night By: Riley Sager

I gave this book 4 stars. Charlie needs to get back home so she agrees to share a ride with Josh who is going the same way. They just met. On the way home they talk and Charlie suspects that Josh is the man who has been killing people on campus. One of his victims was Charlie’s best friend. Is Charlie right or is she feeling guilty about her friend?

Anne of Manhattan By: Brina Starler

I gave this book 4 stars. I have a review for this book. Here is the link. https://debbiesreadingcorner.com/2022/09/09/anne-of-manhattan-book-review/

Tea and Treachery By: Vicki Delany

I gave this book 3 stars. Another cozy mystery series that I started. This one was ok and I love the grandma, who is always getting into trouble. In this story a real estate developer is trying to rezone where the two shops are located so he can drive them out of business. He is planning on building a golf resort in their place. He is found dead in Grandma’s B&B and she is the number one suspect.

Have you read any of these books? If so, what did you think about them? Let’s chat in the comments. Until next time, keep reading.
