Ordinary Monsters By: J.M. Miro

I gave this book 3 stars. This is a historical fantasy. If I am remembering right, it is the first one I have ever read. I thought it was ok. It is set in the late 1800s. We start out in the states and then end up in London and Tokyo. this book is about vampires.

Spy Family Volume 5 By: Tatsuya Endo

I gave this manga 4 stars. Not much to tell because it is the 5th volume in a series. In this volume it is midterm for Anya, and she needs to pass her exams without demerits. Also, Loid’s old partner comes into the picture. He doesn’t know this, but she is in love with him and is plotting against his wife.

Valentine By: Elizabeth Wetmore

I gave this book 3 stars. It wasn’t the best book I have ever read but it wasn’t bad. This story takes place in Texas just before another oil boom. A 14-year-old girl is attack and finds her way to the home of a colored family. The woman takes her in when she sees that someone is coming for her and doesn’t like the way he is acting. This goes into how the church comes onto the scene and does a court before it goes to the real court. This book is about religion, race and the laws of the land.

Zoey and Sassafras: Dragons and Marshmallows By: Asia Citro

I gave this book 5 stars. I heard about this series on book tube. It is a cute younger middle grade series.

This is about Zoey and her cat Sassafras who can see magical creatures. They try to help them when they need it. In this story they help a dragon. Zoey learns as she helps her little magical animals.

Have you read any of these books? If so, what did you think about them? Let’s chat in the comments. Until next time, keep reading.
