
This weekly wrap-up is for the week of July 18th – July 24th. I read five books which brings my yearly reading total to 185 books. These books totaled 1,996 pages.

Wolf Hall By: Hilary Mantel
I gave this book 3 stars. This is the first book in a trilogy about Thomas Cromwell. This is set in King Henry viii period. Henry wants to divorce his wife of 20 years because she isn’t producing a male heir and he wants to marry Anne Boylne. This is their story.

All Her Little Secrets By: Wanda M. Morris
I gave this book 4 stars. I enjoyed this mystery very much. This is about a young woman who brought herself up from a terrible childhood to become a lawyer in a big city. Little did she know that her past would come to haunt her in her position.

Unseen Magic By: Emily Lloyd Jones
I gave this book 4 stars. Cute little story about a girl who accidently creates a second self. She also gets tea from a little shop but to get this tea your payment is a memory. Her accidently self ends up helping her getting back some of her memory.

Lalani of the Distant Sea By: Erin Entrada Kelly
I gave this book 4 stars. This is about a young girl in a small fishing town. Her dad left one day to go fishing and he never returned from the sea, so she and her mom live with relatives. Her mom is a great seamstress until one she is injured while fixing the nets. She becomes very ill. The girl is dealing with this and the knowledge that the town thinks girls are unable to do the same things as boys. She sets out to prove them wrong.

The Secrets of Winterhouse By: Ben Guterson
I also gave this book 4 stars. This is the second book in the series.
