7 Disappointing Sequels

These are the seven series that I chose for this Sundays Prompt. For the most part I have shown all the books to the series that I have read. Two series I still have one more book to read and I do have them either as an E-arc or the physical book. I will let you know, when that series is mentioned.

The Illuminae Series By: Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. I really enjoyed the first two books but the third was a disappointment.

Something Dark and Holy Series By: Emily A. Duncan. I really enjoyed the first book, but the second book was slow, and I still need to read the third book. I am hoping for book three will bring back the joy as the first book.

Empirium Series By: Claire LeGrand. I liked the first two books but again I wasn’t thrilled with the conclusion of the series in the last book.

The Raven Cycle Series By: Maggie Stiefvater. This is a four-book series and the whole series was just ok for me.

The Wayward Children Series By: Seanan McGuire. For the most part I really enjoy this series there were a couple of books that I didn’t enjoy as much.

Legacy of Orisha Series By: Tomi Adeyemi. I really liked the first book and the second book fell flat for me. When the third book comes out, I am hopeful that it will be just as good as the first book.

The Founders Trilogy By: Robert Jackson Bennett. Again, I really enjoyed book 1 but, book 2 fell flat for me. I am hopeful that the third book will pick up the pace again. I do have the e-arc of this book and hope to pick it up soon.

These are the 7 series that I was a little disappointed in the sequels. I will most likely reread some of them again and might change my mind in the future. Who Knows?!

Until next time, keep reading
