Weekly Wrap-Up

This wrap-up up is for the week of February 7th-13th. I read a total of 5 books which brings my yearly reading total to 39 books. These books totaled 2,143 pages.

Solimar: The Sword of the Monarchs By: Pam Munoz Ryan.

I gave this book 4 stars. I have a review up for this book. Here is the link https://debbiesreadingcorner.com/2022/02/08/solimar-the-sword-of-the-monarchs-review/

The Violin Conspiracy

The Violin Conspiracy By: Brendan Slocumb

I gave this book 4 stars. I have a review up for this book. Here is the link https://debbiesreadingcorner.com/2022/02/12/the-violon-conspiracy-review/

A Promised Land By: Barack Obama

I gave this book 4 stars. This book is mostly about his time as President of the United States. He did go into how he got where he was in the beginning of the book.

Wild Women and the Blues: A Fascinating and Innovative Novel of Historical Fiction

Wild Women and The Blues By: Denny S. Bryce

I gave this book 4 stars. This was a book club book. I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it. You never know when you are dealing with the 1920’s and a race that wasn’t highly looked upon. I really enjoyed this story. It is a dual timeline. Highly recommend you read it. It was my favorite book for the week.

Snow Falling On Cedars

Snow Falling on Cedars By: David Guterson

I gave this book 3 stars. It was the book pick for the Doublebookco book club. I sometimes had a hard time following what was going on. It was an ok read and I know I never would have picked up this book if it wasn’t for the book club.

I didn’t get much read this week. I have been trying to read y classic book which should be finished this coming week. That book is really slowing me down.

Have you read any of these books? If so, what did you think of them? Let’s chat in the comments. Until next time, keep reading.
