Top Ten Tuesday

KODAK Digital Still Camera

Today’s ten books are books that I would recommend to a person who doesn’t like to read. I have decided to reach out to the younger crowd. I have a child who doesn’t like to read and some of these books he has actually like or are his books.

Nevermoor: The Trials of Morrigan Crow By: Jessica Townsend

I would recommend the whole series. Right now there are only three books.

Little House in the Big Woods By: Laura Ingalls Wilder

No one should be surprise that this book or series is on the list. I recommend the whole series.

Berserk By: Kentaro Miura

This is a manga and has many issues. My son who hates to read actually read this in one day and really enjoyed it.

Goosebumps By” R.L. Stine

All of the books in this series. They are quick and just a little scary but not so much the reader can’t sleep

Wings of Fire By: Tui T. Sutherland

This dragon series is well known and kids just love them. I have recommended this series at my job.

I Survived Series By: Lauren Tarshis

I am surprised that my son actually enjoys this series. It is a series that teaches history in a story format and makes it easy and fun to learn.

Middle School The Worst Years of My Life By: James Patterson

The Lost Hero By: Rick Riordan

I actually want to include all of his books and series. They are fun to read and have lots of adventure as you learn about mythology.

The Adventures of Captain Underpants By: Dav Pilkey

You can get these books in normal reading format or as a graphic novel. There are a lot of pictures and it is fun for the reader.

Harry Potter By: J.K. Rowlings

This list wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t include the Harry Potter Series.

There are so many books for children now that you just need to figure what they are interested in and you can almost without any trouble find a book. I would also recommend asking your local librarian for help.
