This is for the week of October 3rd-10th.I read 8 books which brings my 2021 reading total to 300 books. These books totaled 2,533 pages.

My Heart is a Chainsaw By: Stephen Graham Jones
I gave this book 3 stars. It is a horror book and I read it for a book club. This is the second book of his I have read and I have decided he is not an author for me. His books are slow and just don’t draw my attention. This book is about a high school who decides to write a paper on the horror slasher movies from the eighties.

Frontier Follies By: Ree Drummond
I gave this book 5 stars. It was my favorite book of the week. I also read this book for a book club. This is about Ree who is the Pioneer Woman and some stories from her life on the ranch. I was laughing so much. It is a fun and quick read.

The Lost World By: Michael Crichton
I read this book for a group read along. I gave this book 3 stars. This is the second book in his Jurassic Park Series. I didn’t like this book as much as the first. This is about some dinosaurs who have survived from the first book.

Tristan Strong Keeps Punching By: Kwame Mbalia
I gave this book 4 stars. It is the third book in the Tristan Strong Series. I enjoyed this book better than the first two. I have a review up so here is the link. https://debbiesreadingcorner.com/2021/10/08/tristan-strong-keeps-punching-book-review/

When Death Draws Near By: Carrie Stuart Parks
I gave this book 4 stars. I have been enjoying her books. This book is about a forensic artist who is between jobs. She accepts a temp job up in Kentucky where she is confronted with a strange religion. This religion deals with snakes. The weird thing about this is that whom ever deals with a snake is found dead. I am not a fan of snakes but this drew me in.

White Fragility By: Robin Diangelo
I gave this book 4 stars. I was recommended to read this book by my daughter, Tara. I have also heard about from you tube. This is a short non-fiction and it has a lot of information about why white people don’t want to talk about racism. You would be surprise for the reason. I enjoyed it and I am surprise that we need a book to learn this stuff and not just taught.

Flesh and Blood By: N. West Moss
I gave this book 4 stars. I have a review up so here is the link. https://debbiesreadingcorner.com/2021/10/10/flesh-and-blood-book-review/

Whistle By: E. Lockhart
I gave this graphic Novel 4 stars. I have a review up for this as well. Here is the link https://debbiesreadingcorner.com/2021/10/10/whistle-book-review/
