Wrap-Up Numbers: This is for the week of August 8th – August 15th. I read 9 books which brings my 2021 reading total to 243 books. Total pages read for the week was 2,684.
Books of the week:

Strange Grace By: Tessa Gratton
I gave this book 3 stars. I heard about this book several years and I finally read it. I wasn’t really excited by it, but it was okay. This book is about a town and forest named after a prominent family. The forest is very weird because it wants to be fed by a particular person at set times. How often it needs feeding is changing; it use to be every 10 years and now it wants to fed every 3 years. This book would be a good book to read in October.

TimeLine By: Michael Crichton
This is a reread for me. I also need to re-watch the movie, but I haven’t done that yet. This book is about time travel and quantum physics.. Crichton did a great job telling this story. I only gave it 3 stars because I felt the story was too long for me. I did like how it ended, because some people needed to be taught the lesson they learned.

Camp Time In California by: Mary Pope Osborne
I gave this book 4 stars. It is the 35th book in her Magic Tree House Series. I just love going the adventures with Jack and Annie. I highly recommend that you get this series, and this book, for your children. This time they went to Yosemite Park before it became a National Park. They also got to meet Teddy Roosevelt.

One For The Hooks By: Betty Hechtman
I gave this book 4 stars. I have a review up already. Here is the link for it here.

The Witch’s Heart By: Genevieve Gornichec
I gave this book 3 stars. Again, this is another book that I should have read in October. A witch must make a decision about what she wants to do. Will she make the right choice and follow the path she is suppose to, or follow her heart?

A Hope Divided By: Alyssa Cole
I gave this 4 stars. It is the second book in her series The Loyal League. Marlie continues with helping the Union army in the civil war. Unbeknownst to her, she has an escaped Prisoner in her house. This can cause her some problems. I am enjoying this series so far, and can’t wait for the next one.

Farm Boy By: Michael Morpurgo
This is the sequel to War Horse; I didn’t realize there was another book. I gave this book 4 stars. This is a story about the boy, the horse, and their lives after the war. It is a quick read and a cute story. This story isn’t sad, and is fun to read.

Closet Confidential By: Mary Jane Maffini
I gave this book 4 stars. I have a review up for this book. Here is the link.

How To Catch A Queen By: Alyssa Cole
I gave this book 3 stars. It is the first book in Cole’s Runaway Royals series. Shanti has always wanted to be a Queen, and her dream comes true when she marries Njaza. But, there are problems because he never wanted to marry. She wants to help him, but no one will listen to her because she is a female. Things happen that prove that she may know what the country needs, but the country is having issues with acknowledging them.
